Illustrated Poster Design:
“Albion Rose” for Petticoat Productions
In 2022, I was tasked with creating a hand illustrated poster for Tiffany Tenille’s short Albion Rose. The brief was to create poster art that captured the film’s emotional tension, quiet unease, and dreamlike atmosphere without giving away the story. I wanted the image to feel intimate, symbolic, and slightly uncanny.

Iterations
Initially, the contrast I had worked towards failed to bring about the specific blur of childhood memory. Several iterations were needed to pinpoint the exact atmosphere of the movie.
The title was custom lettered to echo Victorian elegance while remaining delicate enough to disappear into the illustration rather than compete with it.
Reflection
This project challenged me to combine traditional watercolor painting with digital compositing, typography, and poster design into a single cinematic piece. Rather than illustrating a specific scene, the artwork was intended to evoke the emotional atmosphere of the film itself.
